EARLY CAVITY DETECTION:

Many people don't realize they have a cavity until the tooth hurts, at which point it has become seriously decayed. Many dental offices don't have the technology to locate decay before the patient brings it to their attention. However, Pleasant Dental has invested in state-of-the- art technology that lets us diagnose tooth decay very early, before it begins to spread. Our high-tech imaging system lets us take precise, accurate readings of your teeth, and locate even the smallest cavities before they begin to cause serious damage.

NITROUS OXIDE:

Nitrous Oxide Gas is an effective anesthetic drug that has many benefits for patients seeking dental treatments. Such as it is safe and effective and the recovery time is shorter. Pleasant Dental has years of expertise with administering and treating patients with Nitrous Oxide. The gas is administered with a comfortable mask placed over the nose, and the patient is instructed to breathe in through the nose and out through their mouth. As a precaution, patients should not eat anything for about two hours prior to use of the gas. The patient begins to feel a pleasant level of sedation anywhere from 30 seconds to three or four minutes. The cheeks and gums will also begin to feel numb in about a third of the patients.

WHITE FILLING ONLY:

Dr. Albaghdadi have had a mercury free practice for over eight years Natural looking white fillings are created to match the color of your teeth. White fillings are used to correct the same damage or decay a metal amalgam filling would correct, but white fillings provide a more natural look. White fillings are placed by first removing the decayed portion of the tooth. Then, the dentist will etch the tooth so that the white filling material will bond to the tooth better. Then a bonding agent is brushed onto the tooth, followed by several layers of the composite white filling material. Once the decayed tooth is filled with the white filling material, a special light is used to harden and bond the white filling to your tooth. After the tooth has been hardened, it is polished and shaped to match the rest of your teeth and your bite. In order to have your next tooth reparation performed with a white filling, or to have your old metal amalgam fillings replaced with white composite fillings schedule an initial consultation with Pleasant Dental.

FIXED CROWN & BRIDGE:

Fixed Prosthodontics involves replacement of teeth with a prosthesis that is cemented onto teeth (or for some implants screwed into place through the prosthesis and into the implant). A fixed prosthesis can replace one or more teeth. If a single tooth or implant is restored it is called a crown. If several teeth are replaced, and there are more replacement teeth than anchors (tooth roots or implants) for those replacements, then it is termed a bridge.

GUM DISEASE TREATMENT:

The word Periodontal literally means "around the tooth." Healthy gum tissue fits like a cuff or collar around each tooth. Where the gum line meets the tooth there is a slight space, usually less than three millimeters deep. Gum diseases are infections that affect the tissues and eventually the bone that support teeth. Following are some of the symptoms of Gum Disease:

Gums that bleed easily

Red, swollen, or tender gums

Gums that have pulled away from your teeth

Persistent bad breath

Pus between the teeth and gums

Loose or separating teeth

If you have any of these symptoms, donít wait pick up the phone and call Pleasant Dental to make your appointment.

ROOT CANAL TREATMENT:

FA root canal is a treatment used to repair and save a tooth that is badly decayed or becomes infected. During a root canal procedure, the nerve and pulp are removed and the inside of the tooth is cleaned and sealed. Without treatment, the tissue surrounding the tooth will become infected and abscesses may form.

"Root canal" is the term used to describe the natural cavity within the center of the tooth. The pulp or pulp chamber is the soft area within the root canal. The tooth's nerve lies within the root canal.A tooth's nerve is not vitally important to a tooth's health and function after the tooth has emerged through the gums. Its only function is sensory -- to provide the sensation of hot or cold. The presence or absence of a nerve will not affect the day-to-day functioning of the tooth. Most root canals done today can be accomplished in only one visit at Pleasant Dental.

SOFT DENTURES:

Soft dentures are a flexible alternative to more common hard dentures crafted out of acrylic. These dentures don't require adhesives and adjust to the shape of the gums for greater comfort.
